Welcome Tips:

Welcome All!!!!!!!
Before we get into any crazy projects, we're going to start off with some helpful tips and tricks so that we are all on the same page. SO LET'S GET STARTED!!!!!
  • ALWAYS double check your supplies! Make sure you have everything you need at fingertips reach BEFORE you start your project! You don't want to be getting up in the middle of cutting or gluing just because you forgot something!
  • ALWAYS remember the classic saying, "Measure twice, cut once"!!!! Trust me, I have learned the hard way and you don't want to go down that path.
  • BE CAUTIOUS!!! You don't want to have your mum call 911 because you cut your finger with that darn exacto knife again or maybe you super glued your hands to the paper...funny how that always happens.
  • If you have an older sewing machine, keep those gears turning! You can purchase sewing machine oil and brushes from your local fabric or craft store for just a few $. It's definitely worth it.
  • Embroidery and hand sewing needles should be sharp. If not, guess you have to take a trip to the craft store! If they're not sharp, they snag the fabric you're working with and that NEVER looks good. (Same with your scissors: the sharper they are, the less paper they will rip).
  • ALWAYS invest in 2 good pairs of scissors!!! One for your fabric projects, and another for your paper. NEVER use your paper scissors on fabric! They will dull the blade and tear your beautiful creation! Bummer...
  • When hand sewing, change your needle when they get bent to keep your work in line!
  • Most importantly, HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!
