I recently saw a tutorial on Pinterest similar, but I didn't like how they used the actual tart warmer packaging because you would end up with A LOT of leftover wax from the melted candle so I had a thought... I will do my own take on this tutorial and use more efficient materials! So here we go!
Materials needed:
any kind of candle
oven mitt
ice cube tray
large pan
medium pot
Directions:
1. Place pan down first with the pot placed inside on the stove top. Place the candle in the middle of the pot. Heat on medium.
2. Once the candle has melted, carefully remove candle with oven mitt (CAUTION: WILL BE HOT!) If you are able to at this point, remove wick. Pour melted wax into ice cube tray evenly and let sit for a couple minutes to cool. This is the messy step :/ I ended up spilling wax all over the counter... oops.
3. Gently place ice cube tray in freezer (without spilling it everywhere). I put mine in with the ice cubes for a faster result because I am impatient.
4. When completely cooled and hardened, pop those babies out and use them to your liking :)
The way mine came out are ugly, but they work better than the real deal! They melt faster, are easier to clean out when you want to change the scent, and have a stronger scent all together! I think this would make a great gift too!
Thanks for stopping by and be blessed!
