Hey all!
I bought this table a while ago at my work (JoAnn Fabrics) because it was cute and on clearance! Super steal!
So I did what any crafter would do; make it even cuter with a creative, personal touch!
I'm going to show you how easy it is to turn something bleh to something beautiful! You can always go to thrift stores too and find some great pieces that need just a touch of paint to become a whole new piece!
This is the before and after picture:
And this is what I used:
How to get the look:
1- Safety first! Prep your station outside and wear protective goggles or glasses and a mask.
2- Spray the table in small, short spurts back and forth. It may take a few times to fully cover an area but take your time! You don't want to end up with paint blobs.
3- Once you have the outside painted and you let it dry, turn it over and repeat step 2 to the inside.
4- Let that dry one more time and now you're ready to scrub away! You can use either of the above abrasives. Gently rub back and forth in slow motions to take some paint off. I did this in small areas throughout the entire table for a more worn or rustic look.
Here is a close-up before I scrubbed it and after:
Look how terrible my lawn is! :O It labels me as a dog owner haha!
5- After you are happy with your results, wipe down with a lightly damp cloth and that's it! You're done! Super fun and easy!
I think it was originally a plant stand, but i currently use it for a nightstand next to my bed. It matches my decor perfectly and the color is right on!
I love when a project comes out perfectly! :)
All I need is my bible and the current book I am reading which happens to be Redefining Beautiful by Jenna Lucado (Max Lucado's daughter). It is amazing! It is written for young women to build confidence and faith. I fully recommend it! Find it here on Amazon and watch your faith, confidence, and self image grow! :)
Have a blessed day guys!
