HOW TO:
Felt Voodoo Doll Pincushion
Supplies:
-Felt squares (assorted colors)-Coordinating embroidery floss
-Assorted buttons
-Polyester fiber-fill
-Printed pattern (shown bellow)
one: print template and follow directions on sheet. two: after tracing and ironing template onto felt, cut out 2 pieces for back and front sides and one of the heart. three: stitch on the heart (cutting for broken heart optional) by hand. Sew on the eyes and stitch a design for the mouth, arm, and leg stitches. I did a mix of "plus sign" and zigzag designs. four: put the 2 body pieces together by wrong sides. Sew a blanket stitch (shown below) all around the edges, sealing the 2 together. Be sure to leave about an inch gap on bottom of leg. five: Fill with polyester fiber-fill and sew leg shut.
You are now finished and can use this cute little guy as a pincushion, key chain, gift, decoration, or hang him from your rear-view mirror in your car! Name him, and he will keep you company! :) Don't be afraid to experiment with felt and thread colors; the more colorful, the better! Sew on!
